Ensuring that everyone has a safe and healthy working environment is a fundamental part of our responsibility. Both the employees of Elenia and the employees of our partners must have the required qualifications and skills to perform their tasks. Safety skills are an essential part of each employee’s professional competence. Our goal is that everyone who works for Elenia goes safely back home every day.
Safety is a matter close to our hearts in Elenia. TEKO – Safely back home is the basis and the will of our safety work. We work together with our contractor partners in the construction and maintenance of Elenia’s electricity network. Our goal is zero accidents.
All accidents and near misses are investigated to prevent future accidents. Safety training and induction of Elenia and partners is continuous.
Together with its partners, Elenia has signed the Safety Manifesto (pdf) and is committed to acting in accordance with it in its day-to-day work. The Safety Manifesto aims to continuously improve occupational safety in the construction and maintenance of the electricity network. As a network, everyone together bears responsibility for ensuring that awareness and safe working practices are also applied to the companies’ subcontractors. The common goal is to prevent accidents.
With the Safety Manifesto, we commit ourselves, together with our partners, to the continuous improvement of our safety culture and safety management.
The Safely back home -life saving rules (pdf) tell in a simple form the occupational safety rules already familiar from the law and regulations. The safety rules must be followed at all times on Elenia sites and apply to everyone who works for Elenia or visits the site. The Safety Code consists of two parts, one highlighting the importance of a safety attitude in safety at work and the other focusing on safe working practices for the various tasks.
Most importantly, everyone has the right and the duty to stop work on site if it cannot be carried out safely.
